 I always find I t to be true that taking walks while traveling can yield a lot of interesting experiences. At the time that we are traveling we are already being subjected to a different atmosphere and cultural customs. Sometimes in the lew of daily activities we can shut down inadvertently and misss a great deal of the unique aspects of the local culture in which we are immersed.
I have always found that taking walks is a great way to alleviate such a syndrome and let one reflect on the daily activities and contrast it to how things are back home.

Every day started with a leisurely breakfast and a chance for some chitchat then it was off to the casino to play the slots. Not one out of the three played cards or craps so the slot machines got a work-over. They started out together; selecting machines in close proximity but it didn”t take long for each one to branch off in another direction

The wicker basket was removed from the trailer and the balloon was laid out on the grass and attached. It was inflated by means of several extremely powerful fans and occasional blasts of hot air. A couple of volunteers were required to hold the balloon open as it was being inflated; the noise and bursts of flames made the excitement heighten. We were informed that as soon as the wicker basket started to become upright we should all get in. That was a lot easier said than done! It turned out to be a mad scramble and my husband and I were separated, but thankfully ended up in adjacent compartments.

My mother, aunt and grandmother decided to take a trip to Las Vegas. My mother and her sister were in their late sixties and my grandmother was in her early eighties. This was, in a sense, a reunion of sorts. My grandmother and her daughters had been separated until the early nineties and were finally reunited after almost sixty years. My grandmother suggested that the three of them go to Las Vegas for five days for a bit of fun and the opportunity to spend some quality time together. A love of the casino was one thing all three had in common.

Once inside of the home the tour will begin. The tour guides of the mansion are dressed in costumes from the period of when the house was built, which adds for extra enthusiasm. The tour guides will walk everyone throughout the home, downstairs and upstairs, explaining what each room is. Unfortunately, photographs and video can´t be taken inside of the house, but you may take as many pictures and as much video as you like outside of the house. The tour guides will also give you a full background on the plantation and how everything came to be, along with who lived in the house and who built it, etc. The stories they tell are well worth a visit to Oak Alley Plantation.

For any of you who are interested in history or even just visiting Louisiana I must recommend taking a trip over to Oak Alley Plantation! This plantation is by far one of my favorites for it´s simplicity and beauty.
Oak Alley Plantation can be found in Vacherie, Louisiana. The plantation is located on the Mississippi river between New Orleans and Baton Rouge of Louisiana. In front of the plantation you will find a canopy of very large oak trees leading you to the home. Tours of the house happen between the times of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM central standard time. There is a tour every hour between these times, but the grounds area of the plantation opens at 9:00 AM central standard time.

After you decide that indeed air ballooning is something you would like to do, which, as it happens to be, is not such a hard decision to come by seeing how valuable a life experience it is when looked back upon as one grows older, there are some things you should take into consideration.

You must make sure that the weather conditions will be in your favor because a freak storm could totally ruin your trip and may even keep delaying it once you’ve already arrived to the town from which you will make your departure. If you can do this and it’s a nice day when you go up, it will be something you wont forget about.

As it turns out, hot air ballooning is a participation activity and wearing clothing that would upset you if it were to be stained and soiled might not be a good idea since such things seem  just in order for this activity. This is because was wearing a hat to protect one’s head from the heat generated by the huge fuel burners.
You will most likely want to take your flight at sunrise since it is much more beautiful at that time. But it will require you to check with the Pilot the evening before to make sure that the weather forecast will be good.  Don’t forget arrangements for lunch!

In the center of the garden is a gigantic towering pirate ship made of wood, sprawling with children exploring, hiding and calling out to their Moms and Dads below. The Moms call back to them reminding them to swab the poopdeck before their ice-creams are melt  onto the sand. In fact it is really sand, since the pirate ship has even got a beach surrounding it!. The ship has a shipwrecked atmosphere as it lays with its rigging, pulleys, and crow’s nest on a bed of pristine black sand. How the princess could have liked to see the 70,000 children every year, innocent in their pretend play, enjoying the great amount of free fun in her name.

Princess Diana’s Memorial Garden Walk – A Long Away From Silence As well as Gravestones.

We normally associate cemeteries and Memorial gardens with solemn reflection, sombre moods and maybe even sorrow. If Diana had liked to take a break with this tradition to better think back on her youth, beauty and exuberance and the arangements had wanted to reflect her wishes, then somebody somewhere surely did a good job!

In this Memorial Garden in Kensington Gardens, London, we are more probable to hear whoops of laughter, fooling around in the summer sun and kids running around grasping ice-creams from the large Diana playground café. This particular park opened in June of the year 2000 and is to be found near her home at Kensington Palace.
