Mount Jiri, Korea

Published by wanderer at 3:57 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Climbing Mount Jiri is a great outing in Korea. This one was very different from the Mount Halla hike. First of all things, it was a two day trip and then it was also much more requiring. Mount Jiri is more a formation of several other mountains with several peaks which are connected with each other. So you are basically tredding along ridges and peaks. The trip started at Seongsamjae and came to an end about 30Km later at Cheonwangbon which happens to be the highest peak at 1915m. I made it in 2 days which almost took it all out of me but then again experienced hikers supposedly do it in around one day and I met a group of 80 year olds hardcore travelers who were on a 3 day trip…
